Switching between Riot's Valorant and Valve's Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) is the most common transition in competitive FPS. However, simply using rough estimates ruins your motor memory and micro-flick precision.

Because Valorant runs on Unreal Engine and CS2 runs on Source 2, each game engine interprets mouse hardware counts with fundamentally different rotational yaw constants.

1. The Core Conversion Formula & Multiplier

To maintain identical physical mouse travel across your mousepad (cm/360°), apply the exact mathematical ratio between the two engine constants:

// Exact Engine Ratio
Conversion Ratio = 0.07 / 0.022 = 3.181818...
• Valorant to CS2: CS2 Sensitivity = Valorant Sensitivity × 3.181818
• CS2 to Valorant: Valorant Sensitivity = CS2 Sensitivity × 0.314286

4. Does FOV (Field of View) Affect 1:1 Muscle Memory?

While physical rotational distance (cm/360°) stays 100% identical using the 3.181818 multiplier, the perceived visual speed changes slightly due to Field of View:

  1. Valorant: Fixed horizontal FOV of 103° (16:9).
  2. CS2: Horizontal FOV of 106° (16:9 native default).

Because CS2 renders a fractionally wider cone of vision, edges of your monitor travel faster across screen space.

PRO TIP:Never alter your physical rotation multiplier to match visual FOV. Your arm and wrist rely on proprioception (physical distance traveled on the pad), not visual focal length. Preserve the 3.1818 ratio.

5. What About 4:3 Stretched in CS2?

A huge portion of CS2 players use 4:3 Stretched resolution while Valorant forces native 16:9.
